#UnterkunftUkraine was created in response to the war against Ukraine. The idea of wanting to open one’s home to people in need has developed into an initiative with over 160.000 registered people within a few weeks.
In the long term, the initiative aims to make civil society solidarity an integral part of the solution to crisis-related human emergencies. In doing so, #UnterkunftUkraine focuses on activating and bundling civil society willingness to help. This creates a platform for direct support, lived solidarity and human connections in the event of a crisis. Initiators are Lukas Kunert (elinor GmbH) and Falk Zientz (GLS Bank). The coordination has been taken over by gut.org gAG and is supported by numerous partner organizations.
